Will Long Days Lead to Great Ideas?

Well, summer is here. We've had graduation at our school and my family and I have already been on our big summer adventure (a cruise to Alaska—I highly recommend it). Now my batteries are supposed to be recharged and I'm back at my desk staring at a blank sheet of paper that needs to be a script for twenty-two actors by the end of August. Anybody got any ideas?<div>Like most kinds of writing, in playwriting, it's getting started that is the hardest part. Students at our school sign up for the  next year's junior high drama program in the spring, so I know we will have 22 actors in the comedy next fall. Other than that, nothing is certain. Sure, I have a whole list of ideas—a play based on Robinhood, a parody of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, and several others. But so far, nothing has presented itself as THE idea that I will wrestle into a play before school starts in August.</div><div>So here's a thought: why don't you send me your ideas? What story do you think would make a great comedy? I can't promise you a million dollar prize if I choose your idea, but I will send you a nice thank you note and a copy of the script.
