1) I heard that a short story of mine, written ten years ago during graduate school, will be published in a college literary journal.
2) I received payment for a contribution I made to a national periodical.
3) I technical directed a production of my play Twinderella, directed by my wife.
4) I watched a rehearsal of Twinderella the Musical choreographed by my daughter, a college sophomore.
And that's just in the last five days. Tomorrow and Friday I'll finish going over the edited manuscript of my latest book—the 75th anniversary history of the school where I work. Plus I'm being interviewed by two ninth graders who are interested in becoming writers. So, as you can see, the writer's life can be pretty busy.
