Dramatics Magazine and the Educational Theatre Association help to bring back memories of their Thespian Festival

Though long ago, this Thespian Festival, filled with drama workshops, school plays and other thespian events was a thrill!

Yesterday afternoon, two teachers from Indian Ridge Elementary School (Cherry Creek School District), two teachers came in to Pioneer Drama Service that would be a perfect elementary school playscript for a large cast. After a long talk, we decided on a show that would be perfect for an elementary school musical. It was decided that they would do Kokonut Kapers, a musical theatre farce by Tim Kelly, with music by composer Bill Francoeur.

It was then dediced that I would do my Melodrama Workshop at the school. I have done my Melodrama Workshop at the International Thespian Conference and have done it many times since for high school drama departments, middle school drama students and elementary school drama thespians.

It was a great time. They left with a musical theatre play for elementary schools and a future melodrama workshop!
