I just volunteered at Newton Middle School in Littleton, Colorado to be the sponsor/director of their drama club. Unfortunately, lack of funding in our schools is taking important classes such as drama out of the picture.
So, here I am. It's time to start choosing plays. I have decided to do one act plays ideal for middle school students. I will also do melodrama. I think that I'll go with melodrama first where I can involve a lot of children and get them started in something fun. Melodrama is ideal for schools, churches and community theaters which need large cast plays with comedy.

They are excellent resources for starting a theater or simply finding perfect books and products to help out. I know I'll have fun. You too! It's always a great feeling to get kids involved in theatre.
